lie annual prize giving ceremony at fho Wanganui Collegiate School took .place in the big school-room last night before a large attendance of parents .»ntl friends.
SVlr Walter Empson, a former headimasler of the school, presided, and on the platform with him were the Rev. J. XI Dove, headmaster, and the school -masters. The proceedings were opened oy tiie -song "forty Years On," F. H. Maclean, head prefect singing the solo, and the ■scnoo' catching up the chorus.
