The lamb market is dull, and prices are firm on account of holders not being «.nxioas to sell. Canterbury two 5 11-16 d., heavy weight fours 5 l-Bd., other than Canterbury s£d.
The beef market is firm, with a good •demand for hinds. New Zealand hinds 4 3-16d^, fo!res ;3d.. Clifilled Vhinds 4 5-Bd., fores 3d. The butter market is firm, with a good demand for choicest, bur. a poordemand for low grades. The market hap been unfavourably affected pb-y large quantities at present in. store for some time past. Choicest Danish is quoted at 130s. to 1315., French 110s. to 1165., Dutch 110s. to 1145., Australian 104s. to 110s.. Siberian 100s. to 104s.
The cheese market is firm, prices rising for Canadian and English* It is expected prices will advance for EngJisn and New Zealand, as stocks are almost exhausted- Canadian tiiJs. to 675., New Zealand 68s. (nominal), Eng-. lish Cheddar 7Q=. to 80s, The wool market is quiet biit firm, -though new business 13 not very large.
