BARRICADED IN HOTEL
HIS WIFE TO APPEAR IN CANADA
(Times—^Sydney Sun Special Cables.) LONDON, September 12. Thaw's door at the hotel is barricaded, and twelve armed deputies are patrolling in front of the hotel at his instance to prevent Jerome, the New York State Attorney, from kidnapping him.
Evelyn Thaw, his wife, is engaged to appear at Toronto and Montreal musichalls, but it is expected the authorities will prohibit her appearance.
