Messrs Dalgety and Co., Ltd. (Palmerston North), and Gorton and Son. Ltd. (Feilding), report having held a most successful clearing sale on account nf Messrs Cornfoot and Hogg at their home stead, 'Mingiros, Kakariki, on homestead, Mineirca, Kakariki, on Thursday,' the 10th inst., when they offered some 3200 sheen. 108 dairy cows and heifers and 120 head of young.cattle to a very Nir^e, attendance, zuyers .being present from up the Main. Trunk line and the Wanganui river. The sheep met with the. keenest of competition and sold readily at the followjns: prices: Cull hoggets 4s 8d to 7s Bd, small , wether lambs 9 s7d; medium ewe lambs H's Pd,'-Very fair ewe lambs* T3s 7d, ditto wether lambs 13s 6d, mixed age purebred Southdown ewes l£ gns., S.D. ewe lambs 1% gns., 4-tt>oth Southdown ewes 2% gns., 2-tooth ditto 3 gns. B.D ram lambs 4* gns.,. stud Southdown ram i gus.
Cattle: Bad coloured weaner steers 20s 6d, very small weaner heifers 255, medium weaner heifers £1 15s to £1 18s, ditto steers £1 16s, small vending steers £2 14s Gd, ditto heifers "£2 ss. bulls £4 5s to £4 10s, 2-year steers £4 Bs, forward cows £4 6s/ dairy heifers to £6 ss, inferior, backward and 3-teated cows £3 to £4, late calvers L-> to hb os, medium quality cows £6 to £7, fair quality cows £7 to £9 best cows £L 0 10.s to £14 15s
