ROYAL PICTURES.

A SPLENDID SERIES

The programme submitted at tlio Opera House last evening ?\vas.of. the usual high standard, and was heartily receiv^ cd by tho large audience. The star drama, "The Live Man's Tomb,"; a pro-; duction of the Itala Go., is a film 6iV raro value, and is somewhat unique, afj tho title -would suggest. . AparV from tho above, undoubtedly the 'best picture was a scenic by the Dominion Film Co. depicting H.M.S. New Zealand entering, and at anchor in, Auckland harbour. This film was of. particular interest to tho audience, giving, as it did, not only panoramic views of tho New Zealand, but w"hat nras more to the point, views' of the,, decks and internal workings of the ship which wero "just the thing" for yesterday afternoon's disappointed people. The simporting films are a very good lot. "Gaumont Graphic," with the latest Paris fashions, "Two Men and 'Two Women" (Vitagraph), "A Tear not Shed in Vain" (Oines), supplying the serious side. The last-named is especially good. Tho comic element is well catered fo? by "Ragtime Mad.'' and "Keeping up Appe-arances." Taken as a whole the programme is one of the best we have had the pleasure of -witnessing, and as r, clean, bright show we can heartily recommend it to our readers for-'tin's evening and to-morrow night, "when tlio programme wiM be screened for tho last time. Seats may be booked by ringing up 'phone 324.
