A large demoiitstratiorii by support«rs of the Bible in Schools was^held in the Town Hall to-night, presidicd over by the Mayor. Among tho speakers was Mira Butler, head-mistress of the Girls' Gijamniar School, who advocated tho restoration of the Bible to schools on .account of its; liteitiry value, its historic'value, iand the value as a characicr builder. Sho said the Bible' placed before a. child's mind the high- ■ est iideals possible. : •

: Canon Garland also spoke. .. Mr. W.illiam . Collins, a public school 'teacher, supported the •movement, affd claimed'that in doing so ho represent-ed-a large number of other teachers.
