A BOY ESCAPEE.
(Per Press Association) AUCKLAND, Jan. 27. Tho boy burglar John Bardley, who escaped from the cells on Saturday, was recaptured at Decvonport at 5.30 p.ttf. to-day. It is supposed that he took a dinghy from Freeman's Bay and rowed across the harbour to Devonport. He discarded the dinghy and hid in tho shrubbery in .a garden. Th© police srarehed the garden without success. Subsequently the police were informed that ha was hiding in a house, and on search being made he was recaptured.
