OHINEMURI MINERS' WAGES.

WAIHI, Jan. 25. The conference between the mine owners and Ohine-muri miners and battery employees has concluded and a satisfactory industrial agreement reached. Although the whole of their demands were not conceded the men have got from 50 to 75 per cent of the advance asked for in wages in the various departments, and with the exception of some- few small local bodies the minimum- wago fixed is the highest in the Dominion. The surface workers' minimum is 8s 9d per shift, formerly 8s; underground workers 10s., formely 9s.
