SUPPOSED DISAPPEARANCE ACCUSED.

■At the Magistrate's Court yesterd a man named Lindon Tointon was have been charged with having sto four boards to the value of 2s 3d, property of the Waihi East Mayor i Borough Councillors. Sergt. Burke said it had been Ranged that an. application should for an adjournment until Sat 'day, but he had since -been advi that the accused had cleared out. i Mr Cohen, who was appearing on cused's behalf, said that he was una to refute the statement of the poli because really he had not seen the $ son. His partner had taken all instr tions an the case.
