In the deceased girl's ibag witness found a letter addressed to her by Ur-
qtihart. The contents wore read, and showed that it was an appeal from Urquhart that Miss Gordon mieht allow him to come to Marton. "Why do you treat me so unkindly?" he asked in the letter, and continuing said she
would not if sho only knew how miser-
able he was. He pleaded foir her-love. "This letter was scribbled1 on the /back of a wages sheet, but was not dated. The revolver produced was found at the scene of the tragedy. It was a sixbarrel Browning, and only one live cartridiZQ was left in the 'breach. This concluded the evidence.
