Douglas, also on a. two and a half years old " Triumph/ 'broke the. 50 mile record by 5 minutes, making the fastest time in the race,, and beaiting .the tbwlacylinder machines and 'running second. We might remark that the* challenge j issued by the well-known " Tiuuanip'h" rider, Mr-G. B. jJrown, some time ago to undertake a nill climbing competition against any machine of any power osn either the Paekakanki Hill ('North Island), or Sunnier Hill (South Island), for £10, the sum to be given to some charity, Iras not yet been accepted.
