HAYWARD'S PICTURES
The Lyceum contained another large and appreciative throng of spectators last evening, when a change of programme was screened. Th© series was a truly excellent one. Perhaps the film which received most applause was "The Light of St. Bernard," a breezy, stirring tale- of the sea. A picture which was full of sensation was the great war drama. "The Fall of Blaekhawk." It is an Indian story founded on th© incidents of 1830, when the Fox and Sacs Indian tribes agreed to a treaty with tho "palefaces," -Serious conflicts still continue, culminating in th© capture of Blackhawk. It is a lino picture. A fine scenic, "Probina to Portoferano," was also shown, as well as the Gaumont Graphic, tho Australian Gazette* and several comics. A very amusing comic was "Orator, Knight and Oow Charmer." The programme will be screened again to-night, and is well worth seeing. Seats may be reserved at H. I. Jones', or by 'phones 313 and 852.
