The "North German Gazette" foreshadows fresh arony expenditure, mainly in the development of an air fleet., new cavalry divisions, increased provision of horses, and a. light howitzer regiment for each divisions. The newspapers view with mixed sentiments the prospects of new taxation to meet these demands. Some declare that friction exists betwteen the secretary of the Treasury and the War Minister.
The "North German Gazette" regards Canada's proposal as a thoroughgoing pattriotic appeal..
