DUNBDIN, December 14. In the Farewell Handicap at Lake County races yesterday, a complaint was made that J. Beale, the Tider of Officious, used offensive language to the Clerk of the Scales and others. Beaele was ibrought before the stewaixl and suspended for twelve months. At' a meeting—of the stewards to-day, however, a fine of £5 was imposed instead of suspension.
