There will be on exhibition tat thris meeting a splendidly carved Maori canoe stenupost, .which.it is hoped to purchase ifor th© local Museum. The purchase price of this valuable relic of by-gone iart is beyond the means of the Museum authorities, who, howevter, a.re prepared to contribute part of the cost, iand it ds lioipecl •to raise ihe 'bailance by subscription.
