DEATH OF MR JAMES SIGNAL.

By the sudden death, of of Mr, James Signal, who passed away at his home in Wilson Street on Saturday last, Wanganui loses another of her old and respected residents. The deceased, who had reached the ripe age of seven-ty-four years, had resided in iWanganui for many years. He was a-man of sterling character, one of Nature's gentlemen, and deservedly esteemed toy all who had the privilege of his acquaintance. The late Mr. Signal was one of the oldest members of the congregation of Trinity Methodist Church, and at yesterday's services the Rev. J. A. Luxford made feeling references to the great loss the church and the community had sustained hj the death of one of Wanganui's worthiest citizens. A widow and a grown-up family are left to mourn their loss, and to them we tender our sincere sympathy.
