THE INTERESTING DISCOVERY OF QUININE

Quito an interesting story is attached to the discovery of the medicinal value of Quinine, obtained from the -bark of tho Cinchona Tree of the South Ameri* ran Andes. In tho year 1693, the Uountess of Oinchon (wife of the then Viceroy of Peru) was journeying across theso remote mountain ranges, and fell seriously ill.
