The House is considering Bills to repeal the"" sugar excise and ibounty. Power is to put the Balls into effect upon a./proclamation.
The Hon. Tudor explained that the Bills would, be proclaimed as soon las New iSouth Wales, Victoria and Queensland passed legisTatiion enacting the recommendations of the Sugar Ootmmission. Itfc is -estimated that the loss of revenue through the. repeal will be, £200,000 iper annum, and that in,.a few years tbis will in'orfease to £2,*)0,000. The imports duty mill still remain in force.
