In the Federal House attention was called to an intimation received by the secretary of the Political Labour League that in view of the disabilities imposed on newspapers by the Federal Parliament it was intended to charge 3s per inch for publishing (political speeches, iand 6s per inch for a similar advertisement. Asked if the Government would take action in the matter, the Hon. W. M. Hughes said that Parliament, would not do anything limiting the press saying what they pleased', but only iasked that political (articles- be signed.
