GARDEN FETE.

Everyone wishing to help in the world of the Garden Fete" should be nt the meeting Monday night, Borough Chambers, 8 p.m: .* v. The' committee, desTre to thank the .Spiral (Pipe Co., Ltd-^for loan of two large pipes for shooting galleries, carted to and fro free; the Railway Department for loan of tarpaulins.; t Mr. John MeFarlane for loan of marquees; Mr. Stroud fpr loan of tents. ■

Mr. Greenwood has offered his ■ motor for the motor railway; Mn-Gifford Marshall has donated a guinea to the Fete. funds. For both these kind offers the^ committee are thanlrful.

The committee desire" plenty of assistance, and gentlemen and young men in-, terested in the grand work of beautifying our town^able to offer their services for, say, half an hour at the Fet-e some little light joib xould be found for them that would help, the success of theFete,

The moving picture of.the grotesque, heads .at 'Hayward's last night was really funny. They will be shown to-night-also. This film*is 'being shown iby Hay-; wards' up and down the coast. .
