KEEN BIDDING AND BIG PRICES

The second wool sale.of this season's series was held to-day in the presence of a. large attendance of buyers representing Home, Contine^nal, American and local sections of tne trade. There were 17,691 bales catalogued, as compared with 16.082 bales at the corresponding sale of last year. The wool was in excellent condition, nnd a much better selection was offered than at the November sale, there being a Inr^e numbed- of the Jbest halfbrfed dins grown in the province anjone those submitted. Bidding was exceptionally keen, though it was not as general as at the recent Wellington sale. • Th e principal buyers were the American operators and the representatives of woollen mills, well as local speculators.
