MARTON, December 11. j Halconibe evidently rejoices in litigation. The latest is that four residents hare separately filed documents in the Supreme Court charging Milo Kevr with libel; and each claims £250 damages. The alleged libels are said to exist in a letter written by the defendant. The FeiTding Fire Brigade have been fitted out with new uniforms. It is with regret that the death of Mrs. 9. George, at Sandon, has to be recorded. She was one of the original settlers of the district, having resided ( there for 38 years since she arrived in New Zealand by the s.s. Berrah in 1874. She was a well-known church worker, and won* the esteem of a large circle of friends. She was seized with a, paralytic stroke yesterday while working in the garden, and expired at 7-30 last evening. Deceased waa 66 years of age, and leaves a grown-up family of two sons and seven daughters. The funeral will take place this afternoon. In a letter from the Hon. Herries to Mr. D. H. Guthrie. M.P., there is the following: "With reference to your representations -Urging that. Feiildfing should 'be-made a stopping place for the second Wieiliingion^Auckljand exprfcss trains, I have the honour to inform you that instructions have now been given '; for these trains to stop regularly at j Feilding."
