WANGANUI LAWN TENNIS ASSOCIATION.
. A meeting of the above Association was held, at which there were present Messrs. Pownall (in the chair), Lampe, Goldsbury, Rev. W. B. Scott, and Dr. Gregg. Minutes. —The minutes of the last meeting were read and confirmed. Inter-Club Matches. —For the interclub matches, St. "John's entered two teams, and Gonville and Wanganui one each. The matches are to .be commenced the second Saturday in January. Mr. Pownall and Dr. Gregg are to draw tho rounds. Balls. —Ay res ball 3 are to be used this season. Main Trunk Association.—The secretary of tho Ohakune Tennis Club asked for information on the question of forming an Association.—The secretary reported that ho had forwarded a copy of the rules. Outside Matches. —The Patea and Wayerley Clubs are to be written to asking them to fix a date for return matches this season. Match Rules.—The following motion was oarried: —That the Davis Cup rules be adopted for inter-club matches. This means that the same player does not necessarily play in the singles as well as the doubles. - Selector. —Mr. G. W. McCaul was appointed sole selection for the 1912-13 seasom. '
Donation. — A handsome donation of two guineas from Mr. M. L. Lampe was accepted "with thanks. The meeting concluded -with the usual compliment to the chair.
