BANK DRAFT FOUND.
SYDNEY MAN'S SUPPOSED LOSS
LONDON, October 24
A bank draft of £40.000, found at Plymouth, purports to be drawn upon tho Bank of New South Wales in favour of a Charles Harcourt, of Sydney.
Tho draft has been declared irregular in form, and no transaction is recorded in tho books of tho London branch.
Officials of tho Bank of New South Wales in Sydney declare that they could not possibly know anything concerning the draft, even if it wae genuine. The wholo thing, they think, is a joke. Somo time ago a man picked up a cheque for £10.000 in the street and presented it. Probab.'.y tho man who had purposely dropped it waited about in order to sco tho result of his work. The Plymouth "find" might bo on all fours with tho Sydney happening.
