AUCKLAND, Oct. 28. Mr Semnle, in the course of his speech at the meeting of the Huntly miners, emphasised the fact that thelack of funds necessitated the decision of tho executivo asking the men to return to work. It was better to give the Federation a chanc-e to fight out to a finish at Reef ton and Waihi than to risk failure all over. The financial factor was a tremendous hurdle.
The Federation recommendation was adopted, but a further motion was carried, that in the event of any further victimisation, the Avhole body of men would refrain from going down; the mine.
