SHOCKING ATROCITIES BY TURKS

ATHENS, October 28. Three hundred volunteers from the Aegean Islands have arrived. King George welcomed them amidst enthu" siasm at Elassona. They proceeded to Serfiji with the Allies.
The Greeks occupied a pass at Pentetaeghadia on the road to Jumna. The fugitive Turkish army at Epinus, chained together and massacred twenty-five young villagers. They tortured women and children, and burned and pillaged several villages. Wounded Turkish soldiers lying in hospital stabbed a Greek Red Cross petty officer.
