'large and enthusiastic audiences. The: children, ably asissted by the churdr 'Choir and a number of instrumentalists ; under Mr."L. Spurdle, rendered in fine' ! vstyle. the special hymns for the occa- "- - : «ion. Littler Miss Alma Springer was heard to advantage in her eweetly~«ung solo, "Saviour, Hear Us," while/ Miss Ivy Pannifer and an elder scholar sang", very acceptably "Be Joyful in God,* 1 and ' the "The Yoiceof God" respectively. At the morning service, Mr. Wm. Robertson, the Scotch evangelist, gave .a. very interesting and instructive talk to the children, using as his text a variety of pins. At- the afternoon < service". Rev P. Kellow based his remarks on x tho face, heart, hands and f'vt, and was listened to with wrapt attention, - - In the evening, Mr. W. M." Robertson-* gave a very stirring and forceful address on the text from 1 Corinthian* l^rfi chapter, 2, "We preach Christ crvt^ ''. cified." Celebrations .will be continues.' ~> oii Thursday at 6 p.m.. when the scWp-' v t: ars wjll be entertained at tea by thfe teachers, and at 7-30 by a public meeting ~ ' in the church, when some of the hymns, sung yesterday and a programme of items by the scholars and addresses T>v the Rev. D. Calder, Pastors Edridge and Robertson, will be submitted.
