! Tho anhual prize-giving took place in I tho Presfj|terian Church on Friday af•ternoon, December 15th. The church I was filled with friends, both Maori and pakeha. Special prizes wero donated by Mr W. Bruce, Mr Thomas Bambor, Nurse Yeates and Mr Krull. A new feature this year was tho Scripture essay, for which the Ilev. A. Porter, of Marton, gavo a medal. This medal is to be given annually, trader tho name of the "Marton Manse" medal. It was won this year by Koto Hohcpa. After tho distribution, tho Kov. J. Monfrits spoke to the natives present in Maori, "explaining tho objects of the school. The Benediction brought a very pleasing function to a cla&e.
