(United Press Association.—Copyright.) BRISBANE, Sept. 4. Tho Hon. J. S. T. CVlcGowen return-, cd by the Zealandia. He declined to discuss New South Wales polities. He was most favourably impressed with \vhat he saw in England, but says there is no place on God's earth to compare with Australia because of her freedom, sunshine, and opportunities. He was shocked with what he saw in the United States and Canada, where they are sowiiig seeds of a whirlwind and allowing themselves to become tho dumping ground of tho scum of the earth. Australia, wiso in her generation, was keeping tho race pure.
