FINE MATERIAL, FAULTY TRAINING.
AUSTRALIA'S MILITARY FORCES
(United Press Association. —Copyright.) SYDNEY, July 28.
Major-General Kirkpatriek, Inspec-tor-General of the Commonwealth military forces, in his first annual! report declares that Australia has splendid material for an army, but the training of all branches of the service is faulty and inefficient. The officers have performed their duties satisfactorily. The peaco and war establishment is too low and should be augmented. He recommends obtaining a trained general staff to assist the citizen officers.
