Nurse Kiernan had been, appointed acting sister vice Nurse Mil- \ ler (resigned). Miss Carr-Comyns had r been entered as probationer vice Nurse Kiernan., and Miss Coventry had been entered as probationer on trial. Miss Sullivan was recommended to be ap- , pointed as probationer. Sister Hamann ' had resigned-a'nd John Ford had been appointed male attendant. Tlie* Jubilee month, when the health of the inmates Home had been visited during the month, and the health of the inmates was good. The Taihapo medical report stated that Miss L. J. Miller had entered as a sister and Miss Julia"Bremner had entered as probationer on trial. Fred. Brearo had been appointed as porter. — . The Board decided to add- an - extra probationer, Miss E. M. Cam-\ eron being offered the appointment for six months on the understanding that she would then be given the first vacancy on tho Wanganui Hospital staff, following on Miss Bremnor. ! Correspondence was received from the Taihapo Advisory Committee regarding tho £100 bond a year for five . years and tho balance of cash in hand. ' ■—After some discussion it was decided on the motion of Mr. Battle that the committee be advised that the first payment of the bond be in the present financial year of the Board, and they bo requested to remit to tho Board such funds as they have in hand, in view of the fact that the Board has expended £1000 more than it has received.

Mr. Fletcher brought up tho question of tho inadequate accommodation in the laundry, and a committee^ was requested to inquiro concerning tho power plant and laundry accommodation, with power to act regarding the former. Tho reports of the Finance, Institutions, and Charitable Aid Committees wero read and adopted. Accounts amounting to £9/9 8s Jld were passed for payment.
