New Plymouth, June 22. At the Supreme Court to-day a man named Delaney, a labourer, was given a year's reformatory treatment foi forgery and uttering a cheque and theft. Albert Madgwick was acquitted on a charge of r cattle stealing at Rahotu. Much surprise was expressed when Justice Edwards announced that the Court would sit through Coronation day for civil business, but out of consideration foi; ceremonials elsewhere the jury cases would not resume till Friday.
