SATURDAY'S RUGBY MATCHES.
In striking contrast were the weather conditions "prevailing last Saturday to those experienced on the two previous Saturdays. The weather was glorious, and this induced a large section of tho jmblic to attend at the Rec. to witness the struggles for supremacy - thereon. Tho chief attraction was the meeting of Wahgauui and Pirates, who are the leading teams in the competition-. After a, fast game, which was full of exciting incidents, the wearers of the black jersey were successful in winning bj 18 to nil. The other game, that ber tween Eastern and K!aierau, did not pttracfc much attention. Kaierau were the victors, scoring 17.t0 their opponents' G.
