Parata gave' further particulars ro the proposed tour of tho Maori toam. He stated that the team was not from the Bay of Plenty district. The object/ was not a moriey■i.'iakinp one, but if there was a. profit from •thec.^oui; .the loss incurred by tho committee on tho last year's Atistralian tour would le repaid, and if there uas &fcill a balance it would be given to charity. A proper statement of 'accounts would be supplied to the N.Z. Union.-, Mr. Parata addtkl that 'his toam and everyimember of it had been approached with tempting; offers from the League football, but vho boys had -remained loyal amateurs. He urged that the tour would assist nvrGtaining the Maoris* for the amateur game.
