Three balloonists who left Berlin yesterday for a _ competitive flight had a thrilling; experience.
Finding themselves getting blown out to the North Sea, they were compelled to make a hurried descent, with the result that they all dropped into an estuary of the river Weser.
There they remained until daybreak to-day, 'when they were rescued after three hours' immersion.
Nine other balloonists landed on the coast, thes? competitors also having lml a narrow secape from being carried out to sea.
