KAUKATEA ROAD BOARD.
Tho monthly meeting of the above was held on Wednesday. Present: Ors. Melntosh (Chairman), F. Jor.es, L. Strachan, C Silcock. and C. Soinmerviile. , '
Mr. R. (*. Gray wrote notifying the Board that he would be leaving the board's employ on '11 th July. The engagement of a successor was held over till next meeting.
Accounts amounting to £33 9s 2d were passed- for payment. * The Board decided that it could not heo its way to repair the fence round Olliver's metal pit. The chairman was asked to inspect <ho road on Mr. It. Olliyer's frontage and report on tho necessity of putting it* a new culvert.
Tho clerk was instructed to write Mr. Hogan (ranger) and ask him to attend the next meeting of the Board. ' It was decided on tho motion of Cr. Jones that the Public Trustee be requested to put back the fence fronting the estate of the late Mrs. C Higgio between tho Okoia Railway crossing and the Kaukatea-Purua Boundary. The matter of Thompson's road was left in the hands of the chairman.
