ENROL! ENROL! ENROL!
To the Editor
Sir,—-The- municipal polls are now getting very near, and .the time limit : I oi enroling; is getting perilously short. Jhc public must know (though it does no/V realise it) that, everyone over 21 years of age is now entitled to vote. Comparai'tively few applications have been made at the Council office, and in another week the privilege will be passed. By that time the rolls will be considerably augmented, and when the result of the polls are known Vihose who have abstained from enrolling will nave cause t+o regrot their action. U hen it is seen that the Catholic votfe and the Labour Party vote have carried the day, the ■ abstainers will be surprised at the *push" of these organisations and lament their own indolence. Jhroughout New Zealand—and Wanganui is a prominent case—the Catholics and Labour have taken out large numbers of enrolment forms. These will, of course, be filled in—it will be a specaal duty to oee /3hat they are filled in—and returned. The Catholics will vote, too. for their particular candidates. The. result and the far-reaching S^fH can of' course, be imagined.. \\ ill ...the public awake?— Yours, etc. " PRO BONO PUBLICO.
