TIMARTJ, March 21. At the Hospital Board to-day, highly caustic comment was made regardm-* the manner in which the Board was being treated by the Inspector-General over, regulations for a consnmptiva snnatomim for South Canterbury and Ashburtoii. The two Boards, under the provision of the statute expressly provided, entered into an agresmemt to establish and maintain a sanatorium near ..Lairlie, and Dr. Valentin© opproved. Regulations were drawn uj> but gazetting was delayed by the Department A. new Act was passed, and tho Department say Boards must proceed de novo. ■ Tho Board to-day decided not to do.so, but, if necessary, ~iiVkct. to tlw approval of Ashburton!
