The Seditious Meetings Bill has bee-n ra.'s;d by tha Indian Council. Indian members deprecated it fls permanent ]eg".slation, but thanked the Govcrn-m-Rut fi;r removing the. most objectionable features of tho old Bill. Lord Harding.3 said the Act would only be extended te> a d'strict Avhrn n-ecessaiy, and lie hoped it would remain a dead letter.
