At the* Rugby League meeting, one speaker strongly urged tho players to keep the-gambling spirit out. He was not afraid of professionalism, but he was afraid of tho bookmaker creeping in. Thcr-9'ivas no need for gambling in a c'porb which stood on its own merits.
