SUPPOSED DROWNING ACCIDENT.
WELLINGTON, Sept. 8. H. Butcher, aged 41, a married man with throe children, appears to have been drowned in Wellington Harbour *• this afternoon. He was keeper of the State Coal Department's hulk Corornandel, anchored in the harbour. He left the wharf at 4 p.m. in an open boat for the hulk, and was not seen since. The boat was found adrift and unoccupied about five o'clock.
