(Per Press Association.) WELLINGTON, September 4. At the Supreme Court, yesterday, 'Thomas Finnerty for theft was sentenced to 12 months' imprisonment. His Honor, Mr Justice Chapman, said he would recommend that prisoner be sent to Invercargill gaol or to a treeplanting station. _ James Henwood was sentenced to 18 months' imprisonment for theft. Prisoner said his offence was attributable -to intemperance. His Honor said care would ba taken to send prisoner to a -suitable prison where he would receive '3>etter treatment than anywhere else.
