GARRISON BAND CONCERT.
The recital to be given by the Gar rison Bank on Sunday evening promises to attract one of the largest audiences yet seen in the Opera House. A splendid programme has been prepared, including that popular solo, "The Lost Chord." played by request of several musical enthusiasts. Another popular item will be a fine arrangement from Wallace's "Maritana." The chief centre of attraction will, of course, be thegrand contest selection, "Valkyrie.'' This selection requires much dramatic fores, and contains magnificent harmony A short description of the opera will be given in the programmes. A collection will be taken to defray expenses, any balance to bo placed iii the Ballarat expenses fund.
