Church choirs —St. Matthew's Anglican (Hastings) 1, St. Andrew's Presbyterian (Hastings) 2. Tiict—M:s:::i F. and D. Sutherland (vv'anganr.i), soprano and mezzo 1, Mrs Pet:/ Lewis (Wanganui) and Miss T. Sandilands (Feilding), soprano and contralto 2.
Mixed choirs—Napier Choral 1, Hastings Harmonic 2. Malp quartette—P. Steed. A. W. Hamilton, VW. Snarling, P. W. Tombs (Hastings) 1, W. L. Prime, W. C. Prime, C. Prime, and E. N. Prime (Hastings) 2. . Chuirch choirs, (under 25 voices)— Sacred Heart Catholic (Hastings) 1, St. Augustine's Anglican (Napier) 2. For the open mixed quartette only Napier vocalists competed.
