A CHARGE DENIED
PALMERSTON N., August 14
At a dinner at Levin, Mr Fowler (President of the Horowhenua Union) spoke indignantly of the charges brought against Manawatu players by a hotelkeeper at Hawera. He was with them at the time, and the charges were wholly falso and the most disgraceful thing ho had ever heard in football, making him ashamed to have been once a Taranaki man.
