PALMERSTON HIDE AND SKIN REPORT.
Messrs Dalgety and Company report having held their usual sal© of. Wool, Skins and Hides, etc., on1 Friday the 15th inst.: "We offered a good catalogue comprising 64 bales and sacks of wool, 2200 sheepskins, 400 large hides, 1400 calfskins, and the. usual lots casks -and tins tallow, horsehair, efo. Competition was very keen for all lots offered and we can report a total 'clearance at the following prices:— Wool.—Crossbred in sacks 8d to Bid; Dead wool 7^d to 8d; Inferior 6£d to 7^d; Crutchings 5d to s£d; Inferior -Crutchings 4£d to 4fd; pieces 3d to 3|, Black w'ooi to 5Jd.
Sheep Skins.—Fine Crossbred 8| to ■9d ; Medium 8d to 81; Coarse 74 to 7^d ; Dead fid to 6£d; Lambs from 7d to 8d; Dead hojzgets 6d to 6£d; Half-wools sid to 7d; Torn and damaged 4£d to 6d; Biack skins to s£; Pelts to 4^>ql; Butchers' crossbred at per piece, light skins 5/6, 6/1 to 6/7; Good skins 7/1 to 7/4; Heavy skins 7/7 to 9/4; Dead from 6/to 7/6; Salted crossbred from 5/- to 6/-; Pelfe? to 1/7; Lambs from 4/6 to 5/6.
