It is reported upon very good authority, that a well-known, local sporting capitalist has offered to provide a suitable course and ail necessary modern buildings within a radius of 5 miles of the city and on the tram line route, if the Christchurch Cycling and Motor Club will lease same for a term of not less than twenty-five years at a reasonable rental, for the purpose of promoting pony and Galloway racing.
