COMMONWEALTH TEAM TO GO TO BISLEY.

SYDNEY, October 16

At a meeting of the Commonwealth Council of Rifle Associations it was announced that the Commonwealth Government had placed £2000 on the Estimates for sending a team to Bisley next >;ear. It was decided by the meeting, if this amount became payable, to despatch a team.

It was decided that rear aperture sights be allowed in the Empire Match, and that the next Empire Match bs fired at Bisley. The Council expressed the desirability of providing for tho manufacture of the territorial rifle at a Commonwealth factory, seeing that such excellent results had already been obtained with tVe weapon. This was prompted by a fear of the construction of tho short rifle.
