. Cup day .drew the biggest icrowd ever known on the course. The day was fine but warm, with a north wind, but its disagreeable effects were not felt on the Course. The tracks were fine and ike galloping was of a high order. It is calculated that no spring meeting ever attracted a bigger gathering of inter-State sportsmen, and Flsmington week promises to be the biggest racing meeting ever seen in Melbourne. Hurdles.—Corn Tax 1, Royal Malion 2, Cheval 3. Won by three lengths. Time, 4.11*.
Nursery Handicap.—Tanami 1, Rigadoon 2, Sweet Brew 3. Won by a head. Time, 57^sec.
Caulfiekl Cup. —Aborigine and Blue Book dead heat 1, Pendil 3. Time, 2.35. It was a magnificent race and there was great excitement at the finish.
Steeplechase.—Sscrc-t 1, Confederate 2, Comus 3. Won by four lengths, 3 lengths between second and third. Time 4.44*.
Windsor Handicap.—Queen of Scots 1, Irishman 2, McCuiloch 3. Won by 5 lengths } 1 length between second and third. Time, 1.16. .
Moore Handicap.-—Marcus 1, Burston 2 Perilous 3. Won by a neck, third hcrse three-quarters of a length away. Time, 1.42£.
