MORE STARTLING STATEMENTS
(United Press Association—Copyright.) Received October 15/ 10.25 p.m. NEY WORK, October 15. Commander Peary, from the Arctic ' Club has issued another statement to the effect that Burrills, who accompanied Dr Cook to Mount MacKinley has sworn an affidavit that Cook was never nearer than 14 miles to the summit. Burrills affirms that he doctored his dairy at Cook's request. Miller, the photographer of the party, alleges that the photographs were faked, and says the men quarrelled with Cook because Cook did not pay them.
